Tahyna grew up in the Sydney beach side suburb of Cronulla with her Italian father, Dutch mother and younger sister Cheyenne. Tahyna attended Woolooware High School Graduating in 2003 with a high distinction in drama and music. She can play the guitar, piano, saxophone and drums. Tahyna is a black belt in the Japanese Karate style of "Shotokan".
